Wheel Guide

Affordable Forged Wheels

Forged wheels have a reputation for being expensive — and for good reason. They’re stronger, lighter and more customizable than cast wheels. But that doesn’t mean they have to be out of reach. At RimWorks, we build affordable forged wheels by selling direct and keeping the process simple.

Why forged wheels usually cost more

Forged wheels start as a solid block of 6061-T6 aluminum and are shaped under extreme pressure. That process realigns the grain structure of the metal, making it denser and stronger than a cast wheel.

Because the material is stronger, less of it is needed to achieve the same rigidity. The result is a lighter wheel that handles impact better and improves acceleration, braking and suspension response. The trade-off has traditionally been price — forged wheels require more specialized equipment, longer machine time and smaller production runs.

How RimWorks keeps forged wheels affordable

We started RimWorks because custom forged wheels were priced out of reach for most builders. By handling forging, CNC machining and finishing under one streamlined workflow, we cut out the layers of markup that usually get passed on to the customer.

  • Made to order — no unsold inventory sitting on shelves.
  • Sold direct — no distributor or dealer markup.
  • Streamlined engineering — fitment and design handled in-house.
  • Transparent quoting — one fixed price for your full set.

What to expect on price

Affordable forged wheels does not mean cheap wheels. It means you’re paying for the wheel, not the brand markup. Pricing depends on diameter, width, finish complexity and hardware. Most RimWorks sets fall well below traditional forged wheel pricing while still offering full custom sizing and finishing.

The best way to know exactly what your build will cost is to request a quote. We’ll review your vehicle, fitment goals and finish choices and come back with a fixed price — no obligation.
